How is your pricing determined?
We charge a flat rate of $6 per pound hanging weight. Since we sell directly, there's no middleman markup. You pick up your beef from the processor after we pay processing fees. We sell 1/8, 1/4, half, or whole beef, meaning you'll need to contact us for specific cuts.
What's hanging weight?
It's roughly 60% of the live weight. A 1000-pound cow would have a hanging weight of 600 pounds.
How does the ordering process work?
You place a $300 deposit to reserve a 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef. When it's ready for processing, we'll provide the live weight and require a 50% payment. The final payment is due after the processor determines the exact packaged weight.
Can anyone buy your beef?
Absolutely! While buying a whole cow offers the best value, you can organize a shared purchase with others. Remember, 600 pounds of meat requires a minimum 16 cubic feet of freezer space.
Can I resell the meat if I buy a whole cow?
Yes! You're free to distribute the meat as you wish after purchase.
What happens if I cancel my order after placing a deposit?
Deposits are non-refundable. We arrange specific pickup dates and incur costs upfront. If you can't pick up your order, we'll try to find someone else to take it, but refunds are not possible.
Why is store-bought grass-fed beef so expensive?
Stores lack consistent supply, leading to higher prices. Buying directly from us saves you money by cutting out the middleman.
